I have walked a million years
And a billion miles between
I have lived a life that's dirty
Never wanting to be clean

I have sat beneath his willows
And watched blood drops touch my skin
I have walked a while with saints
As they covered me in sin

I've drank whiskey with the devil
And swam in the krakens seas
I have never talked to god
And he's never talked to me

I saw a man on fire
And he watched me as he fell
I saw friends fall into science
I watched others fall into hell

I have painted lovers with my heart
And they've painted me in fists
I've been a broken shattered mess
And never found all the bits

I have bathed in the purest of lights
And come close to serenity
I have never talked to god
