Rivers of blood

by Dancing Rivers   Sep 23, 2014

Rivers of blood
Sparkle down the streets
Of the city of gold
Poisonous serpents
Slithering over the land of prosperity
Rivers of blood
Cry the eyes if Jehovah
humanity is lost
His soul is dead
Rivers of blood
Flowing with the knowledge
Of generations long forgotten
Long ago their cries were muffled
Rivers of blood
These beautiful streets
Drowned by the memories
Of laughter long forgotten
Rivers of blood
Nothing more than rain
Tainted by the red hues
Of the south African soil grains
Rivers of blood
Nothing more than water
Trailing down the paths
Of am overpopulated land
Johannesburg, city of gold
With it's rivers of blood...

Very meaningful this write is.....full of emotions. I really loved reading this top class poem. It clearly shows how our generation is losing the humanity....and love of people have become cold.
