Fingertip Cartography

by cassie hughes   Oct 22, 2014

Swirls and whorls of paths
my fingers trace along the well
known contours of your frame.
Lost within the map that I've
created in my mind, they move
unprompted, unrehearsed.
Touching.
Feeling.
Wanting.
Following each finely sculpted
curve with feather touch
designed to heighten pleasure.
Drawing circles tenderly upon
your skin with patterned tips
until our journey is complete.

For a club prompt - Travel the pathways of your fingerprint. Look at it as a map and ask yourself, where will it lead you? Are there any signs to follow, a crossroads or possibly a dead end?

I lovelovelove this! It is short but definitely takes the reader to that very tender, sensual moment of you tracing your fingertips across your lover's body, reading them like a map. Beautiful piece, thank you for participating, Cassie!!
