This piece is very very very inspirational.... ( I'm confused whether I should call this poem or quote because to me everything short and inspiring is a quote)
Well that aside..
I love this short poem.

It's very unique. I have never read anything like this.

Being scared of the dark
worked out for her in the end.
** this is an extremely different kinds I have never read before. Normally being scared of the dark is always considered something very weakish , related to weakness.... Something that will be the reason for your doom your downfall but here you say that it is what is going to be the reason for her/his upliftment.
So it makes the reader read further as to what is going to happen. So I love this mystery....

Because that cowardice,
fear of what she didn't know,
gave her the courage
to reach up and
turn the light on.
**now here you reveal that her fear of the darkness or apparently the fear of what she didn't know the darkness hold was what gave her the courage to go and turn on the light to remove the darkness... So it was her fear of staying in the dark that made her move towards the light.

What a wonderful poem. It is very creative and as it is short and in simple language you made your thoughts or sayings clear...
