HB still. Touching poem. The sorrow is felt within the lines. And the ending hits home.

This is such a tearful poem Meena, you know how much I can relate to your poems of grief and loss, and this one is no different, it really does show that pain of wanting someone there, missing them, trying to get through the day, but every day is hard and painful.

I like the way you ended the poem, about wishing it every day, and not just this one particular day, but it perhaps seems even more impossible on the special days where you want to be with them more, to celebrate, to share, to just give that person a cuddle and exchange a few words!

Really touching poem, and I like your very personal title to it, really dedicating it to your mum, which makes it even more tearful, one of the strongest relationships this world has in it.

    Thanks for sharing with us!

Aw, Meena, such a heartfelt tribute and it's beautiful you could share this on here. Congratulations on the win too...

I think the rhyme fits this poem well, it's calming, gentle, remembering this loved one so dear to your heart. What would we do without our mothers? The love given, you certainly pen that emptiness not being able to be in her presence every day.

Beautiful poem and like the rest it brought a tear to my eyes, although it wasn't for my mother that I cried for but for another person who perished. Anyways I loved reading this poem since it pulls you in and invites you to the pain that the poem was created in but it's too grand to not be affected to the emotions and the imagery. Truly sad but beautiful 5/5 congratulations on the win btw.

Very sad poem. I can feel the depth of your loss in these words. With the recent passing away of my best friend, they mirror what I am feeling now. Congratulations on the win, Meena.

Meena pulls the heartstrings again this week by showing the pain that comes when remembering a beloved mother, and wishing time would allow you to be together one more day. The wording in this poem is incredibly touching, and I feel many people will be moved by these words, especially those who have been through such an emotional loss. Truly gripping write.
