A true Friend Always Stays

This poem was written a long time ago but I decided to post it. Tell me what you think. Please

Choose To Stay

One day
You could tell
a hundred people
to not care about you
and leave you alone

Out of all those people
ninety-nine of them will walk away
and show you what
you meant to them

But out of all of them
at least one will stay
just to show you
that even if you tell them
not to care
you’ll have one friend
who will always be there

I always heard
that is you have
one good friend
you’ll do well in life

You don’t need
a hundred people to care
all you need
is that one who stayed

Even when you told them to leave
they made their way
to always be there

All I know
and all I’ve learned
is that
a friend’s
not a friend
until that day
when you told them
to not care and go away
through all that
they chose to stay
