Renewal of Spring

by cassie hughes   Dec 14, 2014

Spring brings growth anew
and colour floods back into
natures faded cheeks.

Buds begin to show
on dormant twigs that
seemed bereft of life.

Promises come peeking
through the barren
earth once more.

And in the air
the birds begin their
lively dance of love.

Renewal
Revival
A time of year
we can begin again.

Rebirth
Repair

Within this season
hang all natures dreams.

Spring brings growth anew
and with its breath
gives life to natures gifts.

Within its warm embrace
the world becomes a colourful
and greater place.

Beautiful piece, Cassie. It definitely is a breath of fresh air to read a nature piece about the renewal of spring, especially since winter is just upon me and I'm missing all of the wonderful naturalistic elements.

One suggestion: this should be in the Nature category. :)
