Glass Mask

Shadows are shackles
that chain us to the light,
to where only the surface is warm

Wearing glass masks, dancing
through the music of realizing
that living just means that you're dying,

Becoming obvious fakes,
pretending that our eyes
can't see past the glass and lies

Shadows are shackles
that chain us to the masquerade
that we abandon our selves in;

Shadows are shackles
that chain us to the denial
of who we really are in the dark;

That chain us to forgetting
that there once were a face
behind the glass mask

    You, can write, very very well! I am a fan of this poem, I loved the idea of the Glass Mask, I really loved the "shackles that chain us.."

    This poem holds an amazing message, by which I'm impressed and at some point relate too.

    Well done
