Tattoo

by La Reina De Corazones   Jan 17, 2015

The blade injects color into my skin
drawing out the one memory,
that I'll never forget.

Mysterious how our love was
almost like Pandora's box,
for it caused so much misery in the end.

Your silhouette is now married to my flesh.
Next is our dreams and illusions,
may God heal those wounds that didn't close
all the way.

Her eyes had you in them
fire and spirit, while her
demeanor had my brittleness.

As your silhouette now resembles
the woman I loved
This pang in my fragile heart begins again,
and midnight tears fall down,

A masterpiece finished,
looking at the mirror I'm
enslaved by its sheer beauty.

A woman holding a baby girl in her arms...
The past that never became a reality.

* I made this one a year ago. It was in my dairy and I copied it on my phone and posted it, I wrote it after the death of the one I loved.
