Survival Smile

by No1ButMe   Jan 27, 2015

Woke up this morning
With a flooded mind
Having a headache from
Trying to read the time
Rolled over and ended up
Falling out of bed
Bruised my hand, stubbed my toe
Everything turned red
Anger built up
Couldn't open the door
Blisters from turning
Leaving my hands so sore
Got to the bathroom
But was to late
Looked at my watch
Broke at seven past eight
My turn for the shower
Not a single drop was warm
Hair wouldn't cooperate
Look like it went through a storm
Got out my makeup
Crashed with a boom
Broke every piece
Sauntered back to my room
Put on my pants
Just to find a hole
Found my heels
But they had no sole
A button was missing
From my top
Someone made coffee
But had no time to stop
Got to work late
Only to realize I forgot my purse
Starting to wonder
If this day could get any worse
Angry customers
Yelling all day
Wish I could tell them
To just go away
Forgot to pack lunch
But my wallet is bare
Spend my whole lunch
Thinking life isn't fair
Time to go home
But they extend my shift
Gossip starts to spread
I can feel the rift
Finally get to leave
But something makes me hault
Today everything went wrong
But is it anyone's fault
I survived another day
So it took me awhile
But at the end of the day
I was wearing a smile.
