The Lost

by Sandstorm   Feb 28, 2015

A sorrowful sight on any day,
Are the ones that appear to have lost their way.
Caught up in demented delusion;
Blindly devoted to a world of illusion.

Seeming unbreakable, but broken inside,
Wearing a mask, the truth they must hide,
Deceit and betrayal is the name of their game,
But did anyone wonder who's really to blame?

Perhaps it's society condemning, and cruel,
Or maybe it's the guy that played her for a fool.
A home broken, beyond repair,
Or an unknown story; full of despair.

A harsh reality- so away he must dive,
Lashing out's the only way she feels alive.
A facade just to keep some from falling apart,
Others withdraw, and shut out their heart.

But their fate's are not yet sealed,
They are in need of love to be healed.
But every day brings them closer to the edge,
Till lonely sorrow is the only path they will dredge.

It's true-these people are no saints,
But offer a hand and hear their plaints.
They might be heartless, but don't lose hope,
They are the ones lost, the ones that couldn't cope.

This poem was quite nice to read (p.s. I'm La Reina De Corazones this is my second account and I just love using it) and here's why.

The diction was quite simple, mixed in with some advanced words but still had that texture upon your brain that makes you love a poem now and again.

It flowed from top to bottom, and if you make a poem that flows it has to flow all the way since you made it so in the beginning or where ever you started to flow within a poem. Lovely

Grammar, oh God I love that a poem has grammar since it makes the poem pop out even more so than normal since you can ignore looking for mistakes! Thank you for making it beautiful to my eyes it was quite joyful!!

This is it for me commenting have a lovely day.
