The Year We Found Us (collaboration )

by Meme & Naughtymouse   Mar 11, 2015

When I see a falling snow flake,
floating down from the sky,
I smile at its beauty,
like when I look into your eyes.
As it falls upon my face,
softly kissing my forhead,
I can feel its heart melting
like when we snuggle in our bed.

When I hear the droplets of rain,
I close my eyes and listen.
As they run down my window pane,
I know it's you I am missing.
When it thunders, when it storms,
I no longer hide my face.
Because I know I found a home,
right there in your embrace.

And as the seasons turn
you remain, that beautiful you,
a walk through life, locked fingers
our hearts as one, true.
For, if there ever was a song to sing,
it would be of this magic bond,
that engulfs in all the colours of the world
and keeps not just us, but the world strong.

I know in my heart that I can stand
tall, or even dare to defy the gravity.
As long as you are there to catch my
fall, and bring me back to sanity.
So collect the calendar pages
we no longer need the days,
we finally found one another,
and so you know I'm here to stay.
