Strings of Love:

by Scott Cole   Mar 13, 2015

I cross my heart
With strings of love,
And pull both ends
Till their tight enough.

I cross the strings
And I tie a knot,
To soak up the damages
My heart has got.

My heart beats on
Thanks to the strings,
For the love within
Provides my needs.

As my broken heart
Slowly starts to mend,
The love from the strings
Make it whole again.

The strings of love
Are slowly removed,
Revealing a heart
No longer bruised.

It beats with purpose
Contains no doubt,
For the strings of love
Have worked it out.

My heart is uncrossed
It now stands alone,
The damage is repaired
So the strings are gone.

All the love inside
The strings are gone,
But within my heart
The love lives on.
