Looking Through Pandoras Eyes

by rosey   Jun 18, 2015

Deep inside my chest
I feel the pain from all the past,
Like Pandora's box was opened in my mind.

The shadowed creatures are too real,
They're All I see, and hear, and feel,
The worst nightmare to ever come alive.

It's face of evil hidden well
From those too foolish tell,
When they're deceived.

Then it's too late,
Your in their grasp,
And then they take
Your better half,
And leave you wandering
In a land of shattered souls.

And when you finally
Get the strength
To do whatever you need to escape,
You find your hidden in a maze of fool's gold.

In the mirror you don't recognize,
The person with the crazy eyes,
That have seen too much of hell to come back whole.

I love this, and the whole poem. There was a time, when I could totally relate to this.. and I actually still can :)
