Inside My Heart:

by Scott Cole   Jun 21, 2015

If you could see
Inside My Heart,
Beneath the surface
Where my feelings start.

Then you would have
A perfect view,
Of exactly what
My heart can do.

It takes in blood
That's filled with air,
And turns that air
Into love and care.

As love is needed
Now right away,
Care not so much
So it can remain.

My heartbeat then
Helps it along,
And pumps that love
Where things are wrong.

It then flows through
My heart's many veins,
Making it numb
From all the pain.

And as the love
Starts to wear off,
My aching heart
Will start to fall.

Once heart broken
And needing repairs,
Then my heartbeat
Sends for some care.

If care arrives in time
My heart will be fine,
Thanks to my blood
And what's inside.

It takes in blood
That's filled with air,
And turns that air
Into love and care.

Inside My Heart
Is love and care,
Accessing damages
And mending repairs.
