Butterflies, flutter by

by Dancing Rivers   Jul 28, 2015

Consider yourself, oh butterfly.
Each day you prance about in your lacey glory,
as though you were a crowned Goddess!

But hark!
You foolish ditzy-head.
Have you heard your name, haha!

A buttery fly- glorified fly!
Like a hauty queen you mock us all,
fluttering in your tinsel delight.

Ah but flutter by, you are nought,
but a fly,
named after the creamy colour of your buttery wings.

Butterfly! You are nought,
but a fly,
but flutter by, for I love to see you in the sky.

Like the wording, twist and the flow of it. Has a way to keeping the reader on.
