Coat Of Many Colors:

by Scott Cole   Aug 27, 2015

Autumn is fast approaching
With her coat of many colors,
Adding liveliness to some trees
Bringing beauty to the others.

She comes in like a lion
So suddenly and unexpected,
Bringing wonder and amazement
To all those that are affected.

For Autumn is a trying time
Her attitude can be brutal,
So to survive her very existence
Your actions must not be futile.

With the passing of the torch
Autumn will have her way,
And blanket the timberlands
With colouring that wilts away.

So take notice cause she's a looker
And enjoy all her splendid sights,
For her colors of the rainbow
Will very shortly become benight.

As Autumn slowly becomes extinct
She makes way for her heated rival,
The trees beneath the forest canopy
Prepare for their frigid Winter survival.
