That Very Moment

by Maple Tree   Sep 10, 2015

It was half passed something-

the night I fell deeply for his naked silhouette.

I could read between the lines of every word
he sheltered me from knowing and soon
I became captive to his soul, the darkest
side of the moon, kept hidden from view.

His eyes-

Piercing like daggers, I couldn't remain still
as if a lady behind the wall ever does,
squirming with anticipation from every gaze...

I admired his swagger, steps taken,
closer to the door were like moments
I had never felt before-

I wanted to see more of the shadow
and less of the outline.

Quivering lips within teetering coffee cups
become the markings of a woman in love.

I never knew this feeling before,
immediately my fingers wanted to bleed
for this man, writing until dawn, passed dawn
and into another day, night, eternal.

The Gods and Goddesses knew before I whispered
within the elements that he was to stand before me...

I didn't believe until then-
my soul had found its mate....

    @.@!!!

    Missy,

You never fail to make me smile when you shower your hubby with affection... A beautiful couple <3

Your poems about James are timeless.
Leading me to believe that the windows to the soul never age...and that the passion within those eyes, burns as strong as when it was first lit.

    In to my favourites :)

Your love for your husband inspires me Andrea. Every love poem, every picture for him, status you post, it's precious. It literally is not forced or Cheesey like some pretend it's everything when really it's not all it's cracked up to be, but with your love for Jim, I can tell it is pure, true, loyal.

I love this poem with every ounce of my being, beautiful!!

This is a precious write and one that makes a heart happy to read when knowing the past history... There were many things you needed to learn before this were to happen and I am so happy that it finally did. I have never seen you happier than you are now. It is wonderful to read a true love story from you...
