Majestic Flight

Majestic Flight

Every day from my window, at work I see
Swaying on the bough of a tall coconut tree.
Soaking in the sun, airing out his wings.
Sits a Falcon majestically in his grey purple cloak.
His silhouette stands out in stark relief.

Leisurely he sits there dreaming of things
All the time grooming his glorious wings,
Then soaring slowly, he ascends the blue skies
Just a speck circling high above
Keeping a close eye on his prey is my belief.

In between my work at my desk,
I raise my head to take a look
At times the boughs seems empty of his presence
And at times I see his swooping return
To lazily sit back and groom himself.

    These are the simple things of life-nature's children taking away with them our stress and make us sigh. Liked this write :)

      :) Thank You Ben, A body needs a break sometimes And i am also blessed with a window with such a view . Facing lot of trees and my share of an open blue sky{ although there are a few tall building encroaching my piece of sky}

      Thank You Meena. I agree, nothing like nature to bring you that calmness you so need. I feel am blessed to see so many species of birds here because of the number of trees surrounding us. It is a rare gem for a city dweller.
