I am confused - Why am I born with brains?

Why am I born with brains?
Is it just a container, to store data of life's experiences that I have had?

Why am I born with brains?
Is it just a control freak monitoring and running my anatomy?

Why am I born with brains?
Is it just supposed to procreate, from whatever it has been fed?

Why am I born with brains?
Does it even know what it is supposed to do?

Why am I born with brains?
When all I am doing is follow the herd, just like any other beasts.

Why am I born with brains?
Will there be anything new it has processed when it's time to pull off the plug?

Why am I born with brains?
Is it to break down all illusions and see the nothingness in everything?
Is it to convince the one who questions that there is No Birth and No Brain?

    Why are we born with brains, Jay? Good question as we more often than not don't seem to use them!
