Trying To Believe

Do you know why
I am so scared to be loved by you?

Because I am afraid
I won't be able to hide from you,
and I fear you won't love
what you will see
if you decide to stay.

I am trying to believe
that you are real,
and please don't think
that I need more
than what you already give,

because deep down
I believe we will both hold hands
as together we cry,
and praise God,
when all of this is over.

    ^^This is what we all are afraid of; to expose ourselves to our partners, boyfriends, mate etc because what they see might make them walk away from this relationship. But I guess when someone truly loves you they get to know you-good, bad and everything.

    You have written this like a letter that is intended to be given to your love or speaking it as you write it. Either way, it feels like real life!
