Age of Innocence

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 18, 2015

The curtain drawn
in front of clouds
after the dawn
drew the dark crowds
A vulture tied
to her pure flesh
where a mind cried
"prey" to refresh
that maiden's trust
captured in vane
ungodly lust
to my disdain
Allowed to live
inside of me
Who is captive
and who is free?
