Looking At Love

You inserted me with hope
after your fireworks of love
made explosions in my heart.

You do something to me
that poetry cannot explain,
but the look in my eyes
when I look at you,
explains it all.

I'm not delusional about life, nor time,
I know I can't have you forever,
but in the short time we have shared,
you became my universe.

I knew your love
was only passing through my heart,
but I am eternally grateful
and honoured that you chose me,
for you gave me serenity
when my world was upside down.

Every time I look into your eyes,
I remember to remember
that your love was the reason
that I chose to stay alive.

I hope you know
that every single ounce of pain
I ever had to endure,
was worth it all just to be able
to stumble upon your love
and get to share my life with you.

You eternally touched my soul,
and will forever hold my heart.
