The World I see

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   Jan 18, 2016

I was listening to J Cole just to hear what he had to say,
The words of this man can easily bring light to the darkest day,
He told me to keep writing because we are in the now,
If I let this opportunity slip I might as well take a bow,

In the world I see we are hunting elk in the suicide forest,
Hunter gatherers we've become our world is no longer notorious,
The idea of flashy clothes and high priced cars are in the past,
Now we just fight to survive, we don't use gas,

Over centuries we were forced to work together,
Finally seeing that all races aren't as bad as we once thought,
Barter and trading for things that at one time we would have bought,
Pointing the finger at ourselves when once before it would have been your fault,

There's no such thing as nationality ethnicity or creed,
Everyone is mixed with everything that's our new breed,
Building a society we can be proud,
But don't be foolish we still smokin loud,

Finally in touch with the spirits not the ones in a bottle,
On that Charlie's Angels ya dig we goin Full Throttle,
But that's the world I see rather it's the world we need,
Our future rides on the change of you and me.
