monumental

She smiles;
her face a-radiant,
of confidence, that lurks
in each step she takes.

She's aglow,
a pristine angel
The spring blossom,
aroma intoxicant.

The perfect sparkle.
She smells of life.

But blew one malevolent storm,
She sways with fright, not grace.
Eyes shut, afraid,
and lost.

She reeks now,
with a stench, of rotten hope,
She staggers now,
with a dull imagery.

until today,
she staggers; of silent rage
never unleashed.
though she shall always,
till she walks into the irreversible drift
of the
riptides of time.

Lost..
and she is no more....
