Changes

I shuffled the cards ,
And made my moves,
I had all to win,
And all to lose.

I made decisions,
That cost me much,
Wish I could change,
The past and such.

No matter how hard
That I may try
I can't not make my past
Into a better guy.

So what is there,
And what should I do?
But learn from the mistakes,
Of me and you.

To be a father,
That I should have been.
To love my spouse,
Until the end.

I tried to recover,
And fix my mistakes.
I gave my all,
For heavens sakes.

I understand,
It was to much.
You could not survive,
The pain and such.

So this one thing,
I vow to you,
To be the one I,
Was suppose to.

I understand that,
It's not with you,
But I hope for your happiness,
As I try to find mine to.
