A Plea From The Lost

by Moe   Mar 31, 2016

O sweet death, would you be my savior?
Take me away from this lie.
The lie that I told to keep me going on.
I, who craved life, yet was forsaken by her.
No more wish to exist
as my existence brought nothing but pain.

Sorrow fills my steps,
for we are one and the same.
I am lost amidst this madness.
Driven into meaninglessness,
or was it I who chose this emptiness.
I just wanted to escape the shadows,
but I was already in their grip.

I stand at your door,
as you are my only way out.
So death, would you let me in?
Would you grant me my wish?
Would you bring my life, my misery to an end?

I can relate.... I have written a number of such...and no matter how much we call unto death to release us and set us free, it never happen.

    Hang in there,
Fate has something waiting for our services.

    Great write.
    Impressive indeed.

    Take Care.
