Running Running

by Baby Rainbow   Apr 9, 2016

Imagine being afraid
of a dream that's never-ending,
constantly crashing into a black rainbow
which wraps you up in heavy chains.

A new question spoils the entire day,
as a touch of misplaced memory
is powerfully surging through my mind,
and I am terrified to face what might explode
if I open my eyes to see.

They approach without warning,
falling through the empty holes in my memory,
but I cannot seek comfort
for I am always on the run...

... I have forgotten exactly
what it is I am running from...

yet still, I keep on running.

I really liked the imagery. Especially the never ending dream with a black rainbow that wraps you in chains and falling through the empty holes in my memory.
    Great poem
