Whispering Thunder

by David W Palmer   Apr 29, 2016

Whispering thunder resounds from clear sky,
Arresting! Take cover and contemplate
The impact this imaginative thought
Surge has seared, delighting perception.
Twisted testimonial the old oak
Retains of its encounter with power;
So our souls in the hands of the Poet
Change course on the journey to completeness.
Dangerous to entertain new vision?
More deadly never to even have one!
So, sit down, prepare, adjust, ask, "What if?"
Established preconceptions are tombs
If neural pathways be rutted and staid.
Let go! Let her guide, and lead forth the way!
