Those boots with the heels remind whats real

The boots were stylish, classiest design
You laced them up, double knot-please dont see me again with a cherry on top-
And walked right out the door and right out my mind. The walls were built to protect others from myself, for everytime I lend a hand to help others, it strangles and smothers. These hands are no good for anyone at all. Id rather cut my hands off then see me destroy someone elses all.

Again and again I do the same thing thinking its different. I am becoming concerned that I was the kid who touched the hot stove that burned, and then did it again to make sure it really hurt. The confirmation was real. I dont need to repeat the same mistakes to ensure I still feel.

But I burn. And I burn alone, because the world does just fine. I hope I burn fast- I am done wasting everyone's time

Do you have an Obsession with boots? May be, may be not.. That idea It's just a lace that caught my thoughts and now its tying itself so tight around my mind. Oh What a knot?!

Anyhow, I'm glad that for now, my mind has no neck no body, nothing at all, thus the knot does not affect me at all.

Nice piece by the way. It's a mixture of a reflective piece filled with sadness. Plus, the portion about the confession where the Narator is concerned with the hot stove caught my eye the most.
