The Abandoned.

by Time Cat   Aug 12, 2016

Look! Look! Come and see!
The children laugh and point at thee.
To the men who march with ball and chain.
At those who will never remain.
I give to thee a candle of hope.
To ease your heart and help you dote.
In the grey lit wastes where you shall march.
I shall shall pray for thee to remain unharmed.
Goodbye my old friends I will tend to thee.
In the Edge of Serenity.

Hello and a warm welcome to the site.

This is a fluent and well rhymed little piece which I love as the poetry world needs an injection of good rhyme again.

    Great first post,
