The Place Where We Live and Die

by Golden AnGel Rhapsodist   Aug 30, 2016

Inhale and exhale to get some fresh air
Breathe in the oxygen that is present everywhere
But when the factories have been releasing their smoke
Living things may die and decompose.

The rising of the sun across the horizon
Refueling my inner spirit to fight and move on,
But when the sun releases it's gas
The danger of solar flare and massive burst.

I can smell the grass and even the trees
Dancing in the dew brought by the cool breeze.
But when the illegal loggers cut down the oak
It will leave the land flooded and soaked.

What happened to our mountains?
People curse the drought upon them
Digging precious stones, minerals, and gold
Landslide gave us a graveyard when the mountains rolled.

The beauty when the sun meets the sea
Watched it change color while you ski,
But what are the bottles and plastic bags doing here?
Watch out, it might get back to us by the storm surge.

Hurricane and tornadoes brought by the skies
Wrecking houses and taking lives
How about Earthquakes and tsunami?
It may drown this land under the sea.

Love the nature, love the Earth
It will love you back till death
Hate nature, destroy the Earth
It will hate and destroy your life as well.

    Hello Gel

There is nothing that upsets me quite as much as strolling through the countryside and happening upon litter: bags, bottles, clothes - anything. It's such a blight on the surroundings and such a selfish act.
Another deep and intelligent write from you.
