Aqua

by Karla   Nov 15, 2016

I am drifting in a sea of intangible words,
lingering, lingering in poetic waves,
in mossy feelings and for the first time
pleasure can be written in liquid,
in water,
in drops.

i am slipping into nothingness
fragmented,by the sovereignty of this moment,
overwhelmed by sirens whirling around my mind
as i float towards my other me:
a sorrow-seed, a painful ocean of images.

there's pleasure in suffering.
my lungs bleed more than i do
and it's sweet to sink in my pure depths.
and it's sweet to die, breathing the salt of the sea,
the salt of the days,
dripping poems, dripping my heart
in front of invisible eyes.
