Counting the Moons

by Ray Blue   Jan 1, 2017

While these tears are falling
The year is now fading
The girl is simply holding her chin
Her patience is wearing thin
While thinking of you
I'm here counting the moons

For all the obstacles that she faced
Never forget your mother's sweet embrace
For we're only flesh and bones
With one of your gaze made me stoned

In her life, she lets fate to decide
In her guitar's tune, everything just subsides
When she close her friendly eyes
Never she forgets those colorful butterflies

Holding to a memory, if only silence speaks
Holding by a thread, tells in her cheeks
Those caveats became cobwebs of time
Love was portrayed by a mime

Time flies and for here I await
In her eyes, all those dreams always resonates
I'm taking these golden dry leaves
In my pockets as if like thieves

While finally our world is awakening
The year is now swiftly shifting
The girl is simply holding her chin
The fireworks to my night sky are echoing within
While thinking of you
I'm here counting the moons.

Counting the moons.

Thoughts of those we care and love always takes on center stage and whatever the situation or wherever we may be those thoughts and events just replays even without demanding..there is much yearning in this write and it shows no matter the years that have passed, the thoughts and feelings for this person never changes it lingers on...touching.
