Peace Will Come

by cupidsxvictim   Jan 15, 2017

Gripping the passport,
Purple lights on the horizon,
I nosedive in.

Bittersweet division of dreams,
depart from the broken,
the unknown awaits.

I've swayed down to paradise,
to spit you out,
to taste this Earth.

But I hide in flames of colors,
I can not see,
I can not feel.

I am the tide that crashes,
rushing back in,
to reflect on you.

So I stand here,
bite my tongue,
for peace will come.

The rose you've planted,
inside my heart,
they will not live without your sun.
