it is love too

by Karla   Feb 15, 2017

i have your small hours in my favor
and as we pretend to be aloof,
the sun rises in your mouth,
illuminating the four walls
where we boxed up our pain
because here there's no room
for complication and long details..

love is today, love is now
it is so frightening
to feel when one's heart is old
and sharp.

let me turn my back to the sun
because my shadow engulfs yours,
darkening our past and even
our future but that is love too
and it is clear that it is unbearable
for both of us the grandeur of our selves
as our arms entwine again just before
the moon announces her loneliness.
