A journey to savour

by Michael   Mar 23, 2017

My palate was laced with a pervasive spite,
My mind, induced by a sultry bile.
An ailing flay, from an oppressive bite,
My immune system, infected with denial!

This harvest of erred ways begin to perish
The roots arid without feed.
Cultured seeds of new learning will relish,
Toxic sap now, weep and bleed

My taste buds begin to blossom and bloom.
A flourish of exploited flavour,
A lavish freshness, I will now consume.
A Yielding appetite will be my saviour

I will adore my land, for pastures new
A fruitfulness will prosper in spate.
No more suffering will pollute my view
Ripe love, in my basket I will collate

The seedings I will scatter in full array
For a thriving path, to pave my way
