The Poets Behind The Poems 5:

<: The Angel Tree :>

Golden daffodils in silvershoes with bells
Dance amongst those sacred dark shadows,
Of that loud and proud Maple Tree
That's drapped in ribbons and bows.

Her branches are their sanctuary
All those bronze flowers sunbathing,
Those delicate memories of yesteryear
That are so beautiful and amazing.

Fresh air and the summer rains
Bring those faded flowers animation,
While showing off their dancing moves
Beneath that Maple Tree of duration.

Lost loved ones and trampled grass
Show the efforts that's been taken,
To hang all those living memories
On that Maple Tree of safe haven.

For each little ribbon each little bow
That's been placed upon the tree,
Is a fallen Angel with broken wings
That the hands of time have freed.

Tender Angel wings that flap no more
But their existence will always endure,
Upon those branches of the Maple Tree
And inside hearts that are not pure.
