Social Suicide

by Lyical Madness   May 6, 2017

Phantasmical plumes of thick darkness
Choking the oxygen from the air
Blocking out the light
Shadow people dance around
Eyes blacker than space
It wrapped itself around your soul
Dragged you into the abyss
Swallowed you whole
Stole your light, your laughter, your sparkle
I watched as you faded
Replaced by the tortured demons of that hell
Depression
Social media told me of your death
Suicide
My heart breaks into a thousand pieces
Rest well my friend
Mental health is no victimless crime
But now you can fly, be free
Find your light, your peace, your happiness
Farewell
I will see you again
As I look up to the sky & see your light shining

Emma, I am so sorry for your loss. Losing someone due to suicide is a difficult thing to come to terms with. Well done on this write-hugs-

It has been a rough few days, adjusting to the gap that's been left by his passing. Even now the tears still flow, such a beautiful soul. But putting it into words & processing it...makes a difference. Thank you both for your words x

A very moving piece that highlights mental illness very well.

Take care; I'm sorry for your loss if this is literal.

    Ben
