Autumn (acrostic)

by Kasie   Oct 2, 2017

A Cascade of leaves slowly flutter down,
Untamed by the breeze thats swirling around.
Tints of green fused with red, brown, and yellow,
Unique in my eyes, is Autumn's great show.
Magical scenes of bright colorful leaves,
Now lay before me, beneath the bare trees.

Love this, well written / rhyming
I am new to poetry and acrostic was not a term I was familiar with, this is elegantly structured around each starting letter, on point and meaningfully rhymed.

There have been many poems in recent weeks regarding autumn and the impending winter to follow. Most have been trepidation fueled.

I enjoyed reading this because it is the complete opposite. It does a fantastic job of reminding us that there is beauty in all seasons.

To rhyme an acrostic can be difficult but I think the author has done rather well. The only thing that threw me a little was the rhyming between lines 3 and 4. However as criticism goes this is tiny.

well done on a lovely poem (4)

I love this Kasie...it was a visual treat and made me think of how beautiful autumn might be from where you are...we have no autumn here! Great piece!

A rhyming acrostic with superb imagery that relates to Autumn. Like you, I love the journey of a crispy burnt orange leaf as it dances it's way to mother earth.
