Heroes

by joey   Jul 10, 2004

God, When the darkness calls
Don't let the memories of them fall.
Grab their hand
And lead their spirits past the painful end.
Allow their mourners to easily mend,
Because they went somewhere where smiles don't bend.

God, let people remember the heroes from the band,
and those who fought it through.
The men that watched their lives die
While others escaped in front of their eyes,
All of them are heroes like you.

God, don't have people remember them with pain.
Make people notice the good,
And not the number slain,
Or the fact this accident is some kind of stain,
But that the heroes saved thousands,
And thats a thousand smiles gained.

God, the ones who have died, they didn't get enough time.
Allow those spirits in heaven to shine,
And proclaim not helping others in tears as a crime.

Let the wrong feel the shame
Cause life is a team game
And every person has feelings the same.
Smile to those who mourn
Try to give a hug and keep the tears happy and warm,
And never put yourself before another.
Since that is the heroes secret
Love everyone as a brother or mother
Because no one should be alone without another.
