Bipolar

Are there those that live
With hearts so naive
Free
Of the thoughts that betray
Invade
With images too bleak
No second goes by
Without the other side
Confide?
No - No it cannot be exposed to the light
Fright?
It is Dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde
Two people trapped forever
Unsevered
How does one exist
Without this constant duel
Cruel
That fate has brought me this
And so I exist
With rainbows vivid and bright
And the darkest of shadows
I can't dare to escape
Which one is me?
Which will come with each sunrise?
Surmise
It's the hunger that only grows
Untold
The very depths of my shattered soul
As I pray for the comfort only released
With last breath at final hour
Devour
All of me and all this wretched life I lived
There are many like me
But it's my burden to bare
Unfair

This is a really good poem which feels so dark and lonely. The music in the piece was very well-versed.
    I love it!
