Just Imagine

Just Imagine.

Just imagine being the type of parent that comes between your child's and their other parents relationship.
Imagine the hurt you force that child to grow up with... Yet, you claim the other parent is a deadbeat.

Imagine tearing down an amazing parent because they move on to better?
Jealousy, envy, oh sweetie, it all just makes you bitter.
Imagine knowing that your children will grow to resent you.
They will eventually get another relationship with the other, no matter what you do.

Imagine that you grow up to be hated by all your kids, no matter how good of a job you do.
Just because your hatred got the absolute best of you.
Isn't it pathetic, knowing how shady you have become.
Trying to make your exes life a living hell only makes you scum.

You can keep trying, your ex and their new love will be just fine.
And in the end, they and their children will be divine.

Ithaca, this is a powerful read and the two main emotions that sieved through to me were anger and resentment.
Parents, like so many family members, are supposed to be a pillar for us to grasp to in the harshest of storms. Unfortunately, it is too often they themselves that are the destructive influence.

Do take care and all the very best,

    Ben

Hatred is a destructive force, isn't it? This poem, if read by those harbouring it, may well hit home, make them see that the path they follow is not healthy. Instead of hatred, they should try learning to love themselves and them try forgiveness.

    Imagine that...

That is what I am hoping happens. I have been in a relationship for four months now and have seen a completely different side than what I seen as a child and it really opened my eyes. I am seeing how cruel, heartless and selfish a "mother" can be. I am hoping that this hits home for her, and the other two women that are trying to tear he and I by using children.
