Muted Heart

My heart seems to be interrupted of it's beat
Perhaps our love has become deplete
It can no longer find a reason to rise and fall
Maybe it's just paused and not gone at all

It could be muffled between our cries
Or buried silently inside our lies
It could possibly be suppressed from all our screams
Or hiding amid the seams

I hope it's safely kept in all the creases in between
Waiting for the beat to become complete
It probably needs to be rewritten
Because this pulse seems silent and unwritten

It could be our love has lost it's melody
Maybe caress my soul preciously
Warm my heartstrings nonstop
So my love for you can start to throb
