Concealed

CONCEALED
Happiness is all you give,
Smiles in exchange is what you ask,
But they throw you away like trash,
You get hurt but never ask the why?
You keep on smiling for them,
To make them happy,
You forgive them,
And this cycle repeats.
You get hurt and you get thrown,
Yet you keep on wearing the happy mask,
The selfless you once again forgives them all,
The hurting you hides behind the happy mask you create.

A warm welcome to the site.

It is so often the case in life that the more we give, the less we receive when the very opposite should be true. Unfortunately, it is the giving kind that tend to be the most sensitive too, so when they get nothing in return, they are hurt the most. It's a pattern I have seen too often.

Take care and all the best,

    Ben
