Gone

by Kay   May 20, 2018

All the Moms's  and Dad's all came to the rescue when there was a monster under your bed but none came to the rescue when there were demons in your head none came to help as you tried to fight them off no they never came when they slowly started to eat you away they never noticed no they never cared how you never slept at night scared of the creatures lurking in your mind screaming and yelling and breaking you down piece by piece, they told you sleep well my child and ignored your face of fear as they turned out the lights, sweet dreams they whispered as the darkness creeped into your mind they left you there to die they didn't bat an eye, instead looked the other way but they cared when you were gone, and they cared as they watched you die, because that's the only time they saw the fear in yours eyes.

Welcome to the crazy farm lol...
I like this first piece by you which states we never stop needing our parents/carers for as long as we live some will be there night/day others not so much but we also need to learn to stand on our own 2 feet and fight there demons inside our heads face to face no matter how hard it is and no matter how long it takes, some of us can, some of us can't unfortunately.

Welcome Kay, this first poem from you is good. I like the darkness and the way you have rhymed throughout.

We don't stop needing our parents when we grow up, do we? In fact, when our minds are troubled, that's when we need understanding and comfort.

Monsters don't dwell beneath the bed, they rampage free within a head.

    I enjoyed reading your poem.

    Take care.
