Salty air and ocean breeze
..
Casting my hope out into the sea
..
Fishing for my rusty lead
..

( ** Casting my line, my hopes for love. Fishing for my old friend. To hopefully ignite what we once had. ** )

    Hi.
Although I like the poem, the syllable count is incorrect.

    I'll count them for you:

    Salt/y air and o/cean breeze =7
    ..
Cast/ing my hope out in/to the sea =9
    ..
    Fish/ing for my rust/y lead = 7

Let me know if this makes sense.

    Take care.
