Pastel Paradise

by CânnâBîsh   Dec 4, 2021

The sun shines ever so brightly
Beaming down on my pale, white face
As I'm walking through the cool sand
I feel more at peace, with each step I take

Clouds so big & colorful
Like being in a pastel paradise
The salty air cleanses my soul
Scenery, so beautiful, I'm paralyzed

All the birds that are flying so freely
Even saw a couple of people
Drinking a peach bellini
And the waves crashing on the shore
Putting my mind at ease, sweet serenity

Beaches that go on for miles
As far as the eyes can see
Tourists and locals surrounding
To admire nature's beauty

I sit perched up on the rock wall
Gazing into the horizon
As the sun sets for the night
I see boats trying to make it home
Before it finally darkens

Thinking to myself
What could possibly make this better?
Perhaps, a little rainstorm
A sudden change in weather
Watching everyone rushing
To their vehicles for shelter

As I sit in solace
And soak it all in
As rain also brings peace within
I find comfort in thunder and lighting
Zapping the water, it's electrifying
Everyone else is terrified
But not me though
I think it's a total vibe

So if you ask what makes me happy
The answer is quite easy
Give me somewhere tropical
Somewhere slightly breezy
Sunsets and palm trees
Sand and mango daiquiris
Ferry rides and camping grounds
And anything in between
My heart is happiest when
I'm somewhere on a beach
