Cansada del camino

This is what I want the audience of this poem to know:

1. I’ve cried more in the past month that i’ve have my whole life
I found God in the tears
This poem is not a poem it is a word of worship

2. i wrote my loved ones a goodbye letter. I thought of my mother’s broken heart and i stayed. but I still- i thought the sad and the sick disqualified me from love
3. I found God. I will say this often. It is not a lie, it isn’t a PR stunt, it is not something I say to make me interesting, i have no interest in holding your interest. I am good at believing in myself.

This is what I want the audience of the poem to know:

If you stay in the sad long enough, it will start looking like home
so do not be afraid to move

To pack your things up
and say i’m not staying
not now
not ever
