Broken

by Sweet Insanity   Sep 18, 2018

"Why do you cry?" the angel asked
"You no longer sing or dance like before,
Nor long to see the light of day,
You are hardened and cold to the core"

"Your spirit used to roam free,
Untamed like the mustang.
Wild and unforgiving as the fire..
What my child has changed?"

"I have been broken my angel,
I feel I've been made so weak.
A hole was placed in my heart
Now all I can do is weep."

"Why have you let them tear you?!"
The angel begin to object.
Then lifted up her face and whispered
"For I have already made you perfect"

"But my heart aches dear angel,
My soul has been torn in pieces
I'm not sure how to go on now
Will I ever be at peace?"

"Yes, you will my child
One day soon I guarantee.
Smile, sing, and dance again,
And I promise you will see"

The angel held out a hand
And helped the girl off the floor.
"Please remember my child,
You're strong and worth much more."

An uplifting scene. I think we all crave at some time or another in our lives an Angel to tell us that no matter how deep the hurt that it will all come out alright in the end because we are all much stronger than we think we are. Best wishes Milly x
